Tskaltubo Municipality
Tskaltubo Municipality is a self-governing entity in Imereti region.
It became an official balneological resort in 1920, and was declared a town in 1953.
It is located in the central part of Imereti.
The municipality is bordered to the east by Kutaisi, to the west by Samtredia and Khoni municipalities and to the south by Bagdati and Vani municipalities.
The defining phydico-geographical factor of the terrain is the inclusion of a wide oval shaped weeping with a structural basin mineral spring, which is surrounded on all sides by mountains.
